But really what does Christmas mean to you. And this is mainly a rhetorical question, but feel free to share if you wish, but definitely share with a loved one. Christmas to a child, with the lights flickering in their eyes and their imagination, it means Santa Claus and eight tiny reindeer, and in times of heavy fog, nine reindeer. It is the wonderment of packages of presents asked for and things not expecting. To parents and especially grandparents it is a chance to spoil their little darlings even more, you could say we have a license at this season to spoil them. To others, it is just another day.
To all the doctors, nurses, police officers, fire personnel, and soldiers that stand watch at the wall, Thank you. Thank you for your service, sacrifice, and willingness to keep the hounds of evil at bay, just to allow the rest of us our time with family and friends.
This is my first Christmas without any parent here. My dad, my first hero, my mentor, and my friend passed away in August of 2015. But I know, beyond a shadow of a doubt that my mom and he are celebrating Jesus's birthday with Jesus Himself. And for this I am eternal grateful. Neither of my parents are suffering or hurting any longer. And one of these days I will get to join them around the Throne. But until then, I have a job here to do. And that job is to spread the Good News both far and wide, here and abroad.
To me, Christmas is Hope, Love, and Promise. I hope this Christmas each of us finds Peace, Love, Hope. And to those that don't know that Christmas should be all about Jesus, my prayer to you is that you allow Jesus to find you this season so you can have the Peace, Love, Joy, and Hope that only He can bring. And as the author of "A Visit from St. Nicholas", "Happy Christmas to All and to All a Good Night",
